Daily Updates
Understanding Your Update Status
What Pending, Pending Confirmation, and Posted mean — and how your status appears to your team.
Every daily update moves through a series of statuses during the day. Here's what each one means.
The Three Statuses
Pending
You haven't started or posted your update for this working day yet.
- Your name appears in the Pending section of the DSM Board
- Your team lead can see you haven't submitted
- No KPI scores have been recorded for the day
This is the default status at the start of every working day.
Pending Confirmation
You've completed the AI conversation but haven't clicked Post Update yet.
- The AI has structured your update and is showing it to you for review
- Your update is not yet visible to your team on the DSM Board
- You can continue editing the conversation before confirming
Posted
Your update has been published to the DSM Board.
- Visible to all members of your team
- KPI scores have been calculated
- Team leads and admins can see and comment on your update
- The update feeds into your weekly AI report
On Leave
If your team lead marks you as on leave for the day, you appear in the On Leave section of the DSM Board instead of Pending. You don't need to submit an update for that day and your timeliness score is unaffected.
Where Your Status Shows
Your status is visible in two places:
- Your own Daily Updates page — shows the session status for today and any past dates
- The DSM Board — your team lead and teammates can see your current day's status in real time
Status After Midnight
Once a working day ends, any remaining Pending updates are not automatically closed. You can still submit retroactively for past dates — see Submitting updates for a past date.
