Planned vs. actual hours.
By project. By person.
Strova captures the real hours each person spent on each project — straight from the daily standup — and sets them against what you planned. No separate timesheet app, no end-of-week guessing: just the actual man-hours and the variance, ready to filter, group, and export.

Project Hours
Planned vs. actual man-hours per project and member
Features
Time data that's actually accurate
A live table of planned vs. actual man-hours per project and member — filter it, group it, export it, and trace every number back to the standup it came from.
Real actual hours — by whom
Not a guess and not a team average. Each member's confirmed time on each project, captured from their daily standup — so you know the true man-hours a project cost and who put them in.
Planned vs. actual, with variance
Every row sets planned hours against actual and shows the gap. Over-runs and under-estimates are colour-coded, so the difference between what you scoped and what it took is impossible to miss.
Filter and group by anything
Slice the table by team, date range, project, or member, and group by day or week. Project and member filters cascade, so you only ever see combinations that actually have hours.
One-click CSV export
Export the filtered breakdown — planned, actual, and the split across task, meeting, and PR-review time — to CSV for invoicing, capacity planning, or your own spreadsheets.
Manage and organise projects
Create projects, assign them to teams, rename, archive, or merge duplicates from Project Settings — keeping the report clean as work evolves and naming drifts.
Scoped visibility
Admins and owners see every team; team leads see their full team; members see only their own hours. Role-based access is enforced automatically.
Replace the timesheet ritual
Before Strova
- ✕Friday timesheets filled from memory
- ✕No idea which project a person's time went to
- ✕Estimates and reality never get compared
- ✕Engineers hate the overhead — data is too stale to act on
With Strova
- ✓Actual hours captured daily during the standup
- ✓Per-project, per-person breakdown with variance
- ✓Zero extra effort from engineers
- ✓Filter, group, and export any date range
Guide
How to use Project Hours
From opening the page to exporting a clean report — six steps to get the real numbers out of your team's standups.
- 1
Open Project Hours
Click Project Hours in the sidebar. It's available to any member of a multi-project team on the Business plan — members land on their own hours, leads and admins on the full team.
- 2
Pick a team and date range
Choose a team (or All teams) and a date range — This week, Last week, This month, or a custom From/To. The table reloads instantly for the period you select.
- 3
Group, then narrow
Group by day or week, then filter down to a single project or member. The Projects and Members dropdowns cascade off each other so every option still has hours behind it.
- 4
Read planned vs. actual
Each row shows planned hours, actual hours, and the variance. The totals bar sums planned, actual, and variance across every filtered row — your quick read on whether the team is over or under plan.
- 5
Trace a number to its source
In day view, open the standup behind any row to see exactly which tasks, meetings, and PR reviews the hours came from — the report is always backed by a real update.
- 6
Export or tidy up
Admins and owners can export the current view to CSV, and open Project Settings to create, rename, archive, reassign, or merge projects so the report stays accurate over time.
