Team-Level Schedule Overrides

How to configure a team's own working schedule that overrides the organization defaults.

By default, all teams inherit the organization's schedule settings. If a specific team operates on a different schedule — different timezone, different hours, different cutoff — you can override these settings at the team level.

Who Can Configure Team Overrides?

  • Team leads can configure overrides for their own team
  • Admins and Owners can configure overrides for any team

Where to Find Team Schedule Settings

  1. Go to Team Management → Teams.
  2. Click the team to open its settings.
  3. Click the Schedule tab.

What Can Be Overridden

SettingDescription
Working daysDifferent working days from the org default
Working hoursDifferent start/end times
DSM cutoff timeDifferent submission deadline
Grace periodDifferent buffer window after cutoff
Cutoff timezone modeUse org timezone or each member's personal timezone

How Overrides Work

When a team has schedule overrides set, those values take precedence over the org defaults for all members of that team. Members on multiple teams are evaluated against the settings of each team independently.

Individual members can further override these at the personal level (see Personal schedule overrides).

The priority order is:

  1. Individual override (highest priority)
  2. Team override
  3. Org default (fallback)

Clearing Overrides

To revert a team to the org defaults, go to the team's Schedule tab and click Reset to Org Defaults. Each setting can also be cleared individually.

Common Use Case: Remote Teams in Different Timezones

If you have a team in a significantly different timezone (e.g. org is in London, team is in Singapore), set a team-level override with a Singapore-appropriate cutoff time and switch the cutoff timezone mode to User timezone. This ensures Singapore members aren't penalized for submitting during their morning when it's already afternoon in London.
