Setting Your Personal Timezone

How to set your personal timezone in Strova and how it affects timeliness scoring and schedule display.

Strova uses your timezone to display times correctly and, optionally, to calculate whether your updates are on time based on your local schedule rather than the organization's default.

Setting Your Timezone

  1. Go to Settings → Profile.
  2. Find the Timezone field.
  3. Select your timezone from the dropdown (search by city or UTC offset).
  4. Save.

Your timezone is also set during the initial onboarding wizard when you first join Strova.

How Your Timezone Is Used

Display: All times in the app — DSM cutoff times, update timestamps, report schedules — are shown in your local timezone.

Timeliness calculation: Whether your updates are judged "on time" in your timezone or the org's timezone depends on the cutoff timezone mode configured by your org admin:

  • Org timezone mode: Everyone is measured against the same cutoff time in the org's timezone. A 9am cutoff in London applies to everyone, including members in New York.
  • User timezone mode: Each member is measured against the cutoff in their own timezone. A 9am cutoff means 9am in whatever timezone the member has set.

Your admin controls which mode applies. If you're unsure which mode your org uses, check with your admin or see DSM cutoff time and grace period explained.

Changing Your Timezone

You can update your timezone at any time in Settings → Profile. The change affects future submissions only — past timeliness scores are not recalculated.
