Top Performers Ranking

How the top performers list is calculated and how to use it for recognition and team health monitoring.

The Top Performers section on the analytics dashboard shows the highest-scoring team members based on their 7-day average Overall Score.

How the Ranking Works

Members are ranked by their rolling 7-day average Overall Score (0–100). The ranking updates daily as new scores come in and old ones roll off the window.

Only members with at least one update in the past 7 days appear in the ranking. Members on leave or without recent submissions are excluded.

What the Ranking Reflects

A consistently high ranking indicates:

  • Updates submitted on time
  • Specific, well-articulated completed work
  • Clear and actionable daily plans
  • Consistent blocker communication

It is not a measure of how much work someone is doing — it reflects the quality and consistency of their standup communication. A member doing complex, slow-moving work can still rank highly if they describe it well.

Using the Ranking

For recognition: The top performers list is a good starting point for calling out consistent contributors in team meetings, retrospectives, or 1:1s — especially for people who tend to work quietly.

For coaching: Consistently low-ranking members may benefit from guidance on how to write better standup updates rather than a performance conversation.

For trend monitoring: If the top of your list changes frequently or scores are generally dropping, it may signal team overload, unclear expectations, or a need to revisit your standup culture.
