Managing Your Notification Preferences
How to configure which notifications you receive and whether they're delivered in-app, by email, or both.
You can fully customize which notifications Strova sends you and on which channels.
Opening Notification Settings
Go to Settings → Notifications. You'll see a list of all notification types with toggle controls.
Turning a Notification On or Off
Each notification type has a master toggle. Turn it off to stop receiving that notification entirely, regardless of channel. Turn it on to receive it on the channels you've enabled.
Choosing Channels Per Notification
For notifications that support both in-app and email delivery, you can enable or disable each channel independently:
- In-app only — Get the notification in the bell panel but not in your inbox
- Email only — Get it by email but not surfaced in-app
- Both — Receive it on both channels
- Neither (master toggle off) — Receive it nowhere
Recommended Settings
For most users, the defaults work well. Consider adjusting:
- Standup posted — Turn on if you want real-time notifications when teammates post, but be aware this can be noisy on active teams
- DSM comment — Turn on email delivery if you frequently miss in-app notifications
- Report ready — Keep email on so you don't miss your weekly insights even if you're not logged in
Email Notification Frequency
Email notifications are sent individually as events occur — there's no digest or batching. If you're getting too many emails, selectively disable email for lower-priority notification types rather than disabling the notification entirely.
In-App Notification Panel
Click the bell icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard to open the notification panel. Unread notifications are highlighted. Click Mark all as read to clear the badge. Notifications in the panel are retained for 30 days.
